Medical Nutrition Therapy Services

Registered Dietitians are highly trained nutrition experts that provide Medical Nutrition Therapy, apply science-based practice, and are integral to the patient-centered medical home.

ECMC is fortunate to have Kate Flint, RDN, LD on staff as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Kate provides patients with a wide range of nutrition services individualized guidance on managing chronic conditions through diet & lifestyle.

Medical Nutrition Therapy Services

Assessment of nutritional needs by a nutrition expert, followed by tailored education, guidance, & support in making lifestyle changes to manage disease & promote health. Through Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) our dietitian can help you with:

General healthy lifestyle
Managing diabetes, pre-diabetes & kidney disease
Digestive disorders including IBS, Crohn's, Celiac, food allergies /intolerances, & more
Heart health including managing high blood pressure & cholesterol
Weight management

Your health insurance may cover the cost of the Medical Nutrition Therapy outpatient service. We will assist you in checking for this coverage. You can also schedule an appointment through your provider (going through your provider helps with insurance coverage).

Weight Loss Workshop

Kate also offers a "Weight Loss Workshop" which is a weight loss support group designed to help you learn about the science of weight loss and receive support from others in their weight loss journey.

These classes are held the 2nd Thursday of each month from 3:00-4:00pm

Classes are $15 each classes are not covered by insurance and payment must be made prior to attending each class
