Biography:

Dr. Josh Bahr's medical journey began with his undergraduate degree at Wichita State University, followed by his doctorate at the University School of Kansas Medical School in Salina, KS. He completed his residency at the Smoky Hill Family Medicine Residency and was elected the Smoky Hill-Salina chief resident for the Class of 2004.

A native to Ellsworth, he is especially excited to bring his experience and passion to the community he calls home. He is considered an ECMC legacy with both his parents being employed as physical therapists at the medical center as well. "His eagerness to ensure quality, patient-centered care is just one of many reasons we are proud to have Dr. Bahr join our team," said Jim Kirkbride, CEO. "He has also shown exceptional leadership skills and provides invaluable insight in helping ECMC thrive for years to come! "

Dr. Bahr and his wife, Kara, are proud parents of 3 beautiful children. He's always up for an outdoor travel adventure, is an avid fisherman, and enjoys carpentry.
