#BecauseWeCare Community Campaign
The #BecauseWeCare Campaign was created as a community wide partnership in response to the current Mental Health crisis caused by the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Several community leaders have stepped up to ensure the mental safety of the many rural communities in our area. Past projects have included the implementation of the 211 resource for the Ellsworth County area, Virtual Art Therapy classes, multiple nursing home and food drives, the adopt a neighbor project, mental health first aid and suicide prevention classes, a mental health wellness calendar and several others.

In addition to improving mental health this group recognized the importance of maintaining a steady flow of information regarding the COVID-19 pandemic from trustworthy sources. A COVID resource page was developed and released every other week in the Ellsworth County Independent Reporter. This page houses the latest updates and education regarding COVID-19 at the top and a resource guide at the bottom.
