APRN or Physician Assistant
Ellsworth County Medical Center has a long history of being the premiere service provider in North Central Kansas. We are a 19-bed critical access hospital with four Rural Health Clinics in Ellsworth, Lucas, Wilson, and Holyrood, KS. We are continuously seeking opportunities to grow.
A Physician Assistant (PA) or APRN is needed to join this growing group practice of three primary care physicians, three full-time Physician Assistants, and one fulltime Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Currently, specialists in cardiology, nephrology, professional hearing, gastroenterology, podiatry, orthopedics, OB/GYN, wound care and mental health services, etc. provide out-patient or telemedicine clinics at the facility.

This position will serve as a primary care provider for preventative care, evaluation of new complaints, routine recurring visits for chronic illnesses, and emergencies when clinically indicated. Responsible for discriminating between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional, or mental health problems. Works to achieve positive outcome measures based on state and federal mandates and financial incentives. All duties conducted in accordance with federal, state and local regulatory requirements, established policies and procedures, and quality standards.
Education & Experience:
Completion of a four-year accredited physician assistant program and a year of clinical training; or
Completion of a two-year accredited physician assistant program plus two years of clinical training following completion of PA program.
Completion of an accredited nursing program with Master's Degree and successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
Current state license to practice as a Physician Assistant
Current state RN license and possession of a current Nurse Practitioner Certification
